Lustra cu elemente de portelan

A candelabrum with a white porcelain body and gold-toned metal mounts. The central column is modelled in a twist and covered with hand-applied flowers in relief — roses and buds in pink, green and white, made piece by piece and fixed onto the porcelain body. The arms carry porcelain bobeches with scalloped edges in the same decorative register, and the sleeves imitate candles. This is a piece in the tradition of Italian decorative porcelain, the kind of object that never gets lost in a room: set on a console, a sideboard or a piano, it becomes the thing everyone looks at. It suits classical interiors, standing well beside dark timber and textiles in warm tones. A one-of-a-kind piece from the Martello collection: once sold, it is never repeated.
